The Wuhu Conch 10MW/80MWh CO₂ Energy Storage Project successfully connected to the grid in December 2023. It has been designated as a Pilot and Demonstration Project for New Energy Storage by the National Energy Administration (NEA), and also selected as a Project for the Fourth Batch of NEA's First-of-Its-Kind Major Technical Equipment Support, with its technological advancement and operational stability widely acknowledged by industry authorities. Since commissioning, the system has accurately responded to the peak-shaving demands of Anhui’s power grid, effectively reducing users’ electricity costs. It innovatively leverages 50°C industrial waste heat from the plant and integrates with a CCS production line, the project realizes the capture, utilization, and transient storage of carbon dioxide, saving approximately 4,000 tons of standard coal annually and demonstrating remarkable economic and environmental benefits.

During the site visit, the project's technological maturity and innovation made a deep impression on the visiting delegation. Both parties explored potential cooperation directions in areas such as energy storage technology, clean energy transportation, and the comprehensive utilization of renewable energy.

This engagement has laid a solid foundation for Exax Energy to further its international cooperation. Moving forward, Exax Energy will continue to focus on technological innovation and collaborate with partners worldwide to jointly promote the large-scale global application of CO₂ energy storage.
